The news is reporting (I heard it from Katie Couric)that veteran suicides, mainly from the Iraq war, amount to twice the suicides of civillians this year! If this doesn't say stop the war I don't know what does.

I just started reading Tom Brokaw's book "Boom!" and I never realized how much of the 1968 presidential election is similar to the 2008 election. I think that our generation is ready to stand up for our beliefs and begin making our voices heard. Also the Vietnam and Iraq wars echo eachother and I think we should learn from the generation of the '60's. We need to elect someone who will make some big changes. Our generation is the one that can do it. Tom Brokaw's book is amazing!!! It really makes you think. Yes there are some big words and concepts but there are so many experiences that make it easier to understand. I never thought that I would be saying this but Tom Brokaw could be starting a revolution! lol.
