Obama won Iowa! His speech was great, not sure if you guys got to read it, but I think it's really great. he spoke a lot about unity, which is something that I think really needs to happen among American people. Actually, people around the whole world in general. Unity is crucial....United we stand, divided we fall.

I hope people pay attention to what he said. Unity is crucial.

You know, they said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come together around a common purpose.

But on this January night, at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do.

You have done what the state of New Hampshire can do in five days. You have done what America can do in this new year, 2008.

One of the issues that ticks me off the most is how whenever anyone tries to mention Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam(etc) veterans who have PTSD or TBI, Bush just turns the other way!!! We've just finished a big unit in ELA right now about PTSD(my teacher is very open about his political views. He posts up political cartoons outside his door, and all over his room are anti-war stickers and whatnot), and I absolutely hate what I've had to read and watch! It's just disgusting what these people have to go through. And a big percentage of the homeless population are VETERANS! HOW DUMB IS THAT???? I may absolutley hate war, but I respect soldiers. They risked their lives for what they thought was the right thing, and they deserve respect. 1 out of THREE SOLDIERS that comes back from iraq ends up with PTSD. that's horrible!!!!!

I'm new to this site,and i want to get to know other people.so, for some questions: I was wondering if anyone watched the democratic debate earlier this evening? If you did, what are your thoughts on it? And, what candidates do you like the most so far? personally, I liked Barack Obama and John Edwards, but now I'm not quite as sure. I haven't seen the perfect candidate, but then again, people can't be perfect.
